[Topology Optimised Table]

Description :

A personal project, where my goal was to explore computational design methods for achieving a unique looking 3D-printable coffee table. Already having a wooden table top, the legs were created using a gyroid lattice that was topology optmised to vary in density depending on the critical stress areas. The change in density visually communicates the load distribution, even to those who are not familiar with the process of topology optimisation.
